What you get from a solar estimate
A proper solar estimate answers four questions before you ever speak to an installer: how big a system do I need, how much will it cost, how much will it save me, and when does it pay for itself? SolarEstimateOnline returns all four — plus a 25-year savings projection, a CO₂ offset figure, and a battery sizing recommendation if you need backup.
Why an online solar estimate is the right starting point
Most solar installers in Pakistan offer free site surveys, but they also lead to high-pressure quotes. An online solar estimate gives you an independent baseline before any installer shows up. If the installer's quote is within 10–15% of your estimate, you're being offered fair-market pricing. If it's 30% higher, you have grounds to negotiate or shop around.
How to get an accurate solar estimate
For the most accurate solar estimate, use a recent summer bill (June, July or August) rather than a winter one. Summer bills capture peak AC load, which is what your solar system actually needs to offset. If you only have a winter bill, multiply units by ~1.6 to approximate your summer consumption before entering it.
Three other inputs make a big difference: your city (sets local sun hours), your backup requirement (sets battery sizing), and your roof size (validates whether the recommended panel count physically fits).
Solar panel estimate, system size, and battery sizing
The estimate breaks down into a complete solar panel estimate: kW system size, exact panel count at 550 W per panel, total roof space needed in sq ft, and — if you've selected essentials or full-day backup — a recommended battery capacity in kWh with installed cost. You can change the backup mode on the form to see how it shifts your total upfront cost and payback period.
Bill upload supported for every Pakistani utility
The bill parser handles PDF statements from every DISCO in Pakistan — K-Electric, LESCO, IESCO, MEPCO, FESCO, HESCO, QESCO, GEPCO, SEPCO, PESCO. It pulls out monthly units and total bill amount, you confirm the read on a pre-filled form, and the estimate runs. Don't have a PDF? Use the manual tab and enter the same two numbers from any month's printed bill.
